Zack Tincher- Our newest addition to Elk Springs Resort, Zack's youthfulness brings the "New School" to our guide service. Coming from the snowboard and ski industry Zack has a fresh outlook to his style of guiding. Putting away the traditional visuals most are used to seeing, the new generation is represented here. A real trout junkie, Zack will research and try new techniques and flies which are becoming the way of today.
Elizabeth Dean- is our youngest guide. Ellie has accomplished more in the outdoors arena at sixteen than most seasoned outdoorsmen. Ellie has been featured in Craig Morgan's Outdoors and Fly Rod Chronicles TV programs as well as articles by John Mccoy from Field and Stream Magazine and the Charleston Gazette. She started fly fishing and tying flies at six years old and loves teaching young folks the art. If you are under 17 years old and would like to book a trip or a lesson with Ellie have Mom or Dad call us and start your adventure.
Daron Dean has spent the majority of his life either in the woods hunting elk, deer bear, turkey and mountain lions. With his love of outdoor recreation, fly fishing was an easy decision to make. Now with over twenty years experience Fly Fishing, Daron has a wide knowledge of rivers and trout especially brook trout streams in West Virginia. Back country trips with Daron will put you in some of the most remote areas West Virginia has to offer. You will often see native wildlife in natural settings that can only be experienced on such trips that Daron can take you on. If you are a hunter and a fly fisherman, and enjoy sharing stories of both on a remote mountain stream then Daron is the right choice to make a lasting memory which will become a future story.
Tracy Maclean is our Marketing Manager who lives for wild streams. Tracy has spent much of his adult life traveling mountain states such as Colorado, North Carolina, California, Montana, Wyoming and has been in West Virginia since 1996 chasing native and wild trout up small mountain streams mainly in Pocahontas and Randolph Counties. When not fishing or marketing the resort Tracy enjoys scouting the local small streams, mapping out trips, writing for several magazines, and stream restoration.
